Love, Reign O'er Me...
Can bring the rain,
That makes you yearn to the sky.
Can bring the rain,
That falls like tears from on high."
On the dry and dusty road, we hear alot of talk about the hot dry weather. It's like this every year.
Temperatures rising, water's getting scarcer, fireworks bans become the norm, relatives calling from afar
concerned about news of fire `ravaging the state'(ravaging the state?), as panic sets in. And then it rains.
Usually on or right before the 4th of July. And usually, at least here on the western slope, it is accompa-
nied by wind. The large fireworks displays we've become atttached to cancel or postpone every two out
of five years because of rain and or windy conditions. Thus marks the beginning of the Colorado Mon-
soon season. Stick around awhile, you'll see. The thing to remember, despite the daily bad news bears'
howling, is that it will rain. How do we know this? We know this because the great spirit creator, which
is Love, loves us. How do we know that he loves us, great and small, good and evil? Precisely because

the rains fall. "He(Love) has shown his kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their
seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy."(acts 14:17) Love is the great
creator. Love made the rain. Love sends it to us in it's season, every year. As this song by The Who says,
Serving Western Colorado
`Only Love can make it rain. Let Love reign. Indeed.
It's July! And Summer is in full swing, bringing so much fun and excitement it is hard to choose what to do. Thank

The silverhawk feather that graces our front page was chosen for it's significant spiritual sym-
bolism. Hawks are symbols of spirit, wisdom and power. The hawk is the messenger. It is also
about visionary power and guardianship, the hawk is very protective of the young in its nest.
It teaches us about providing for family and self. Hawk teaches us to be observant and to pay
attention to what we may overlook. This could mean a talent we don't use, a blessing for which
we haven't expressed gratitude, or a message from Spirit. The hawk has keen eyesight, it is about
