"Let your love fly, Like a bird on the wing
And let your love bind you, To all living things
And let your love shine, And you'll know what I mean,
That's the reason"
"Let Your Love Flow" is a legendary pop song written by Larry E. Williams, a former roadie for Neil
Diamond, and made popular by the American country music duo The Bellamy Brothers. It was offered
to Neil Diamond first, but he turned it down. A crossover hit in the United States, it was also an interna-
tional hit, landing on the charts in the UK, Scandinavia and West Germany, where the Bellamy Brothers'
record spent five weeks at #1 followed by "Ein Bett im Kornfeld", a German language adaptation of the
song recorded by Jürgen Drews, which spent the next six weeks at #1. Why so popular? There's a reason;
it is addictive. Why is it so addictive? Well, for one thing, it makes you feel happy when you hear it and
even happier still when you sing it. But why does it make you feel so happy? Maybe because it holds the
key to all the joy that we crave? It spells out pretty plainly that the way to happiness is by letting your
love shine. That's the reason, "for the sunshine day(s)" and the reason when people are "feelin' so high",
because all good manifestations that appear in our lives come when we let our love fly and spread and

intermingle, binding us "to all living things". Our love is like candlelight. It chases away darkness and
fills our lives with light, when we let it shine. Love is positive. Too often life's setbacks and disappoint-
ments and all forms of darkness frustrate, anger and frighten us into disgust, shame and bitterness, and

with the smallest of dreams and let your love show, and you'll know what I mean." Be filled with posi-
tive thoughts and make manifest those "warm sweet nights". As the song says, "Let the wonder (of
love)... lay you under it's loving embrace; Feel the thunder as it warms your face." You won't be able to
hold back the joy.
