-The Snowmass Balloon Festival fills the
sky with one of the highest-altitude balloon
events in the country. Over three days,
30 pilots compete in challenges such as a
distance race that covers the whole Roar-
ing Fork Valley. Highlights include Saturday
Evening Glow on Fanny Hill and free music
with light show featuring brightly colored
balloons lighting up the night sky. All Bal-
loon Festival events are free.

Category Downhill Race on the world-class Bonzai
Downhill course! Online preregistration for the down-
hill event IS NOW OPEN at USACycling.org and ends
at midnight on September 23rd. Sign up today!
Entry Fees: $25 for preregistration, $30 for day-of
registration. 100 rider field limit. Lift tickets are $30
for Saturday downhill participants. Day-of registra-
tion opens at 7:45a and closes at 12p at the base
of the Village Express Lift. The course will be open
for practice from 10a-1p for participants. First rider
starts at 2p. Start times will be posted at the regis-
tration area by 12:30p. USA Cycling rules apply, Full-
