What the world needs now

It¡¯s the only thing that there¡¯s just too little of.

Not just for you and me, but for everyone.¡±
Those immortal words of Burt Bacharach and Hal David ring ever more true today. Our
time here on Earth is precious and our relationships are even more so.
Yet, today it seems, on every avenue and around every bend there is fighting, devisive-
ness, derision and hate. There¡¯s news of feuding families, enemies, thieves and conquer-
ors, with selfish agendas and wicked intents. Death, sickness, despair, wars and rumors of
war are mass fed to us from every angle possible.
All of that negative energy then feeds on itself creating a vision of a scary world indeed.
Take a step back and listen with your heart and you will see that devils intend it this way.
You are supposed to be scared. You are supposed to be clawing back your neighbor to eke
by, in a seemingly out of control world with no happiness or hope. It is much easier to ma-
nipulate your life and soul if you are afraid. Those that long to leash you work tirelessly to
keep you in this state of fear.
But, ¡°Fear not!¡± says the wise one. There is good news. It is all illusion. That¡¯s right. YOU
are in control of your thoughts. You decide your actions. You can make your own universe.
You are free to fly... if only you will it. It¡¯s true!
Only you can choose to focus on the good, the blessings, the beauty around you, to love
one another and yourself, to have faith and make positive changes, to create good things
and thrive in a joyous thankful life. It really is up to you.
And, like a stone tossed into a pond, when you choose love and radiate positive energy it
has a ripple effect on everything and everyone you meet as well. Fear is the enemy. Love is
the power and is truly what the world needs more of. - KD

The silverhawk feather that graces our front page was chosen for it¡¯s significant spiritual
symbolism. Hawks are symbols of spirit, wisdom and power. The hawk is the messenger.
It is also about visionary power and guardianship, the hawk is very protective of the young
in its nest. It teaches us about providing for family and self. Hawk teaches us to be obser-
vant and to pay attention to what we may overlook. This could mean a talent we don¡¯t use,
a blessing for which we haven¡¯t expressed gratitude, or a message from Spirit. The hawk
has keen eyesight, it is about opening our eyes and seeing that which is there to guide us.
Hawk is also about new beginnings and always moving forward along the correct path.
